I currently work as a Pet Stylist for a major pet store. As it is, we work on 50% commission. We work very hard to meet the demands of the client and the happiness of the pet. When the overall store makes over the "Plan" a large part of that being from grooming, bonuses are given out to the store manager and the grooming manager who already gets 60%. We groomers do the work and don't receive any bonus' or extra anything. The bathers work on an hourly basis, making 7.50/hr. A day's total earnings is sometimes as high as $300-400 per day. all the while, the bather is getting $60 per day, no bonuses,no thank you, no incentive. Is there a Pet Groomers Union formed anywhere. All the information will be greatly appreciated.
