What not to include on a resume

Is it ok not to include on my resume a job that I had for 3 months which is not relevant to the position for which I'm applying? It was an entry level position that I took after my employer of 20 years went out of business. I took the job until I could find the job I really wanted because I needed some income.

Write Yourself A Job

Depends on how you structure your dates. If you are specific about month commenced and month finished for each of your positions, employers DO notice the gaps. If you just use years (really only suitable for long periods of employment) then a 3 month gap may not be significant. But I say, why be embarassed about it. I think an employer might read into it that you are enterprising.

Have a look at
html Code:
www.progressenterprise.com
There is a "how to" publication for only $10 AUD on this site, which I found exceptionally useful. Small investment for good results. The book is called "Write Yourself A Job!". Itmight help you make some decisions about what's in or out of your cv.

All the best.
