australian citizen searching for IT job in US

hi,

I am software engineer and currently working in a multinational company in australia as a software analyst. I need to move to the US, somehwhere close to chicago.

i know there is a E-3visa category created by the US govt for AUSSIE citizens. How can i convince employers to sponsor my E-3visa.

Also how can i search for jobs stayin in Australia?
