Yellow Pages Local Directory - YELLOWPAGES.COM and entered "air conditioning" and "columbia, sc"; it returned 566 hits. I'd work through that list, visiting web pages and trying to find the names of owners/managers. Call them - personal contact is one of the prime ways to find a job.
I also googled "columbia sc employment" and found a number of sites in the Columbia area that provide job listings. That's always a good source of current job listings.
