Lost jewelry

I had two pairs of earrings in my pants pocket and forgot to take them out. When the wash cycle was doneand I was putting closes in the drying I saw 3 of the 4 but, alas, the one I need the most is a 1 carat diamond stud.

Any suggestions on how to find it or is it down the drain for good.

It could have gone into one of the holes of the washer. Have you inspected every piece of clothing thoroughly? It might be stuck on something. I know my diamond studs get caught on anything within a foot of my ear, so check all the clothing that was in the wash before freaking out..
