I just got my cartilage pierced about 2-3 weeks ago.

So i just got my cartalige piercing a few weeks ago, and it seems to be doing fine, it only hurt the first week but now is perfect [ at least im hoping]. When can i start changing the earring..and how long does it take for and infection to start usually. thanks

It is generally best to wait 6 weeks before changing the jewelry.

And what do you mean by "how long does it take for and infection to start"? If you are taking care of it you shouldnt get an infection at all.

an infection can occur anytime, especially within the first 3months. also you shoud wait at least 8 weeks before changing it, the longer you leave the origonal piercing ring in the better.
