    Jewelry marking
Hello, kind of new to the forum (registered 10 minutes ago), so please excuse if I am repeating this question.
I have several yellow gold rings with the only marking: .417 no carats or anything. What does it mean?
    Thank you:
    Marika

I've never seen the number of carats marked on any jewelry but the .417 means it's 41.7% gold - 10K gold contains 10 parts gold and 14 parts of one or more additional metals.
