Who are the children of allah?

I am having the doubt that there are some people(not all) who are deriving the wrong meanings from quran.

who are the children of allah? the entire human race? or only the people who do prayers 5 times a day?

No body has seen allah, only prophet mohmad was a medium. Thus, prophet mohd. has prescribed the way to realise allah(Namaz/prayer).

I believe all religions are one and all the humans are the almighty's children.

Are there any deviations??? what are your thoughts?

Karthik,

Quran chapter/Surah 112
"Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)):"He is Allâh, (the) One.
"Allâh-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
"He begets not, nor was He begotten;
"And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."

If you look at the 3rd verse, it clearly states that Allah does not have children.
And the following verses clearly say that only pure monotheism and submission on to Him will be accepted by the Almighty.

Quran surah 3 verse 83-85
"Do they seek other than the religion of Allâh (the true Islâmic Monotheism worshipping none but Allâh Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "We believe in Allâh and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob) and Al-Asbât [the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)] and what was given to Mûsa (Moses), 'Iesa (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to Him (Allâh) we have submitted (in Islâm)."
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers."

Quran surah 6 verses 73-82
"It is He Who has created the heavens and the earth in truth, and on the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) He will say: "Be!", - and it shall become. His Word is the truth. His will be the dominion on the Day when the trumpet will be blown. AllKnower of the unseen and the seen. He is the AllWise, Well-Aware (of all things).
And (remember) when Ibrâhim (Abraham) said to his father Azar: "Do you take idols as âlihâ (gods)? Verily, I see you and your people in manifest error."
Thus did we show Ibrâhim (Abraham) the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he be one of those who have Faith with certainty.
When the night covered him over with darkness he saw a star. He said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "I like not those that set."
When he saw the moon rising up, he said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "Unless my Lord guides me, I shall surely be among the erring people."
When he saw the sun rising up, he said: "This is my lord. This is greater." But when it set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from all that you join as partners in worship with Allâh.
Verily, I have turned my face towards Him Who has created the heavens and the earth Hanifa (Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. worshipping none but Allâh Alone) and I am not of Al-Mushrikûn (see V.2:105)".
His people disputed with him. He said: "Do you dispute with me concerning Allâh while He has guided me, and I fear not those whom you associate with Allâh in worship. (Nothing can happen to me) except when my Lord (Allâh) wills something. My Lord comprehends in His Knowledge all things. Will you not then remember?
And how should I fear those whom you associate in worship with Allâh (though they can neither benefit nor harm), while you fear not that you have joined in worship with Allâh things for which He has not sent down to you any authority. (So) which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."
It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allâh), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.

Allah doesn't have any children or parents, sisters or brothers. He is one and only to be worshipped.

Quran chapter/Surah 112 (IKHLAS)
"Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)):"He is Allâh, (the) One.
"Allâh-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
"He begets not, nor was He begotten;
"And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."

Behind the Jamkaran mosque there is a well. According to many Shiite Muslims, out of this well will emerge one day their version of an Islamic ‘savior.’

They call him the Mahdi or the 12th Imam.

"The Mahdi is a personage that is expected to come on the scene, by Islam, as a messiah figure. He is slotted to come in the end of time, according to their writings, very much like how we think of the return of Jesus."

I guess this personage could be construed as being the son of allah.

Imam Mahdi is not Prophet Jesus. Both Imam Mahdi and Prophet Jesus are supposed to come, one after the other. And muslims don't believe in Almighty Lord having any son or daughter or anything. 'Children of Allah' means people who are very dear to Allah i.e. the best ones among believers. The entire human race can also me considered as children of the Almighty lord, since we are all God's creation. There are other similar meanings of the phrase. But in no explanation, 'children of Allah' means offspring of Allah.

Allah created us in that manner we are all children of God.

This is what happens when you change from one language to another, sometimes folks miss what the intent was by the original writer.
