Hello. A friend contacted me today and asked me if I cant maybe help him find a investor or investors for the restaurant that his opening. He had investors lined up but due to the fact that one of there factories burned down they are unable to follow through with the investment. I have never done something like this before and any help or answers will be appreciated.

You can look for investors anywhere anytime but unless you have the business plan from your friends it isnt going to help. They should be looking in their own area (are you from their area, you dont say). If you are soliciting here, it isnt going to work.
