im young and im just trying to understand my stocks a little better i have had my money in stocks for over 16 years, the 1st person i had my money invested in did absolutely nothing made me like 5 dollars in the 15 years i had my money with him, and now i have my money invested with a different company. I have let my mother handle this all up until now, as of today and now I would like to know a bit more about how this all works I have all of my money invested in as my statement says under equity mutual funds...

I found a reference to a mutual fund called: Ivy Cundill Global Value Fund -could that be it? It's brand new, and so has no historical performance data.

I would look more closely at what happened with your previous manager. Depending on when you divested, such a small gain might indicate fraud.
