I'm currently in the process of creating a name for my clothing line, was hoping to get in touch with Russell Simmons..regarding this venture. I have limited funds,but have a VISION for this clothing line. My challenge is obtaining funds,investors to believe in this product. As I mentioned, I would love to meet/talk with Russell Simmons if possible and/or someone with solid experience in this industry. I envision this clothing line, similar to BABY PHAT, HOUSE OF DEREON, BEBE, MICHAEL KHORS, ETC... I hope to receive a response soon.

I dunno nothing about fashion. I never heard of Phat or any of that other stuff.

But, I DO know about business! It ain't easy. As a matter of fact, it's HARD. It takes somebody committed. It takes someone willing to do ANYTHING to make themselves successful.

So, if you wanna meet Russell Simmons, GO meet him. If he's in NY, ride your bike there if necessary, and park yourself down in his lobby with your drawings. DON'T leave until he sees you. He will. The next move is up to you.

First, let's get back to basics: Do you have a logo or name trademarked? How about a comprehensive business plan/marketing plan or product samples? I've found that visuals and a clear plan can make all the difference in selling a would-be-angel investor on your business savvy. The illustrations must be supported by someone who knows their industry and is a closer! If you're not 100% sure you can do it get a closer to help seal the deal!
