Creative Writing Proofreader

Hello to all. By profession, I proofread screenplays. English is English, though, so I can probably offer assistance for many types of writing issues. I can definitely help if you have questions about screenwriting style. Things like plot and character are not my specialty, which is why I turned out to be bad at screenwriting.

Other areas of interest, but probably not expertise, are classic rock, cooking, figure skating, tennis, and women's issues. I am also an expert TV watcher.

Yes.

Everyone's so nice here. I thought of something else. I can also talk about how to proofread your own work and how to get the most out of having a friend help you. In fact, here's my #1 piece of advice: read your work out loud. If someone else is looking at your writing, have them read it out loud to you. You'll hear things that you just won't if all you do is look at the page.

hello maybe,
welcome!
i'd like to add that this is true - it's so so often that something which has shaped in your mind looks "crippled" on the paper, and is in an even worst shape read aloud (even to my own ears).

Hi Maybee, what's your interest in figure skating? My 16 yr. old daughter has been skating for 10 yrs.
