Interview questions for technical helpdesk

Hi,
I've an interview for technical helpdesk specialist with a customer facing role.
Can anybody suggest about the interview questions?

Hi,
Here are some tips:
Don't talk about any "bad" experiences with customers, or any that made you mad; unless of course, it's a direct questions.
Don't take very long, maybe a minute, to answer specific questions.
There shouldn't be too many technical questions, due to the time allowed for the interview. Maybe some things such as general questions about the specific area.
Do you have a list given to you for consideration by the interviewer or the company? Some companies will email or mail you a list of frequently asked questions, or information in general, about what is covered in an interview.
My son-in-law is a Tech Help supervisor, and they send out this type of information before an interview.

It also depends what level your are applying for and what the network configuration is at the location/company where you are applying.

Hi,

I work in a IT Service Desk, In the interview they will ask the normal questions like
What would you bring to the role?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

But Technical Questions
What is the difference between a LAN & WAN?
Read up about ITIL, (This is a infrastructure that the service desk put in place and adhere to, Majority companys die for people with knowledge about this)
If a Printer was broken what would you do/ask?
Have you ever managed an Incident?
How would you communicate with your team members that there is an Incident?

I have been working in IT Service Desk Roles for 3 years now and I always get asked these questions.

Which industry? Google keywords that include the industry and add "interview questions" (without quote marks) to the search. If you are still having problems finding interview questions, please post here again with more information for me about the area in which you are job hunting.

Help desk is an important position and you need to have a basic understanding of the windows operating system and its functionality. Common interview questions include difference between new version and old version of windows, device manager, how to troubleshoot if the system doesn't turn on etc. There are several articles on the internet providing these answers. Check this article for help desk interview questions.
