F1 student on CPT

Hi,
I'm an F1 student from texas interning at North carolina this summer(2008)
I have just started my internship & would like to know the approx tax% i will be shelling out.(federal + state)

Also,i got to know that F1 students are exempted from paying social security & medicare taxes,pl confirm.

I'm from India & would like to check if there is a tex treaty between US & India pertaining to internships taxes.
