virus issue

hi, how can i get my task manager enable, apparently there was a virus attack, gotten rid of the virus i think sohana worm, but then its left my task manager grayed out and file options in ms office off the list... please help

Try to repair your OS and it might re-install the task manager

haven tried what you said the task manager is still grayed out... no luck yet

Try double clicking on the task manager window, just below where the menu should be. Somtimes it goes into some weird mode where it doesn't actually show up like a window, and you can't really do anything with it.

thanks alot guys for you help, i eventually resolved it by altering certain settings within the registry settings, apparently the name of the virus is W32 Sohana which replicates itself in your system and beginnings to disable windows functionalities, hence bringing ur system to a halt., but after switching the systems restore off, ran the latest antivirus update, then went in to restore the appropriate settings, system is working ok...
