Unable to install JAVA runtime

Hi,

I have tried endless # of times but whenever i try to download/install Java, the installation thing starts and then almost within 20 seconds I get a dialog box with the following text:

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists
and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

Can you please help me out on this.

What brower are you using, for instance Safari [from Apple] will not load Java.
Also check your Internet options there is a place for Java there, make sure you have that set to Enable
