I remember someone posting a link to a site. I know about yousendit.com, was there another?

Yousendit.com is probably your best bet, but there's always Rapidshare which does much the same thing.
You could always just throw it on your personal web space and send out the URL.

Bloody free Geocities doesn't allow .avi extensions. I actually don;t have a paid for site. I'll try yousendit.com. Thanks for the reply!

I'm sure they allow ZIP's so you could always try that

And make dear old mom have to unzip something? Nah. That would (a) spoil the surprise (baby's first steps) and (b) may require a tech support call.

I have found a free file host at www.filelodge.com - they give 500MB free space per person with up to 50MB per file. There is no bandwidth limit, and when you have uploaded a file, they give you the code that you need to access it from a web-page or anywhere else.

Comments on this post
Curlyben agrees: Excellent find Thanks

Thanks - and this one isn't blocked at work by Websense (our firewall/proxy).
