Setting Up A Web Forum

Hi, is it easy to set up a web forum, similar to this one, I just purchased a webspace??

There are plenty of Bulletin Boards available on the net, but a forum such as this takes alot of managing on a day to day basis.

how do you feel about invision power board just downloaded it and trying to go through this php thing.

SMF is a very popular - and therefore well supported - one, and it is free.
AskMeHelpDesk is run by vBulletin, fyi.

Also, check with your web-host. If your host uses Fantastico, check there for what they offer for easy installs and setup.

(I don't know anything about IPB - except that I've heard a few complain that can be very resource intensive on servers)
