xpx extensions

My system was recently upgraded from MS 2003 to 2007. I now am unable to open a number of my Adobe Acrobat files. They have an .xpx file extension attached to them and the application errror message states that they are damaged or have been miscoded when sent in an email.

I never emailed them. How do I save these files as a PDF. I have tried through the source program, buit it continues to kick me out prompting me with the same error
message.

From xpx file extension - Mime: application/x-vnd.ls-xpix

"There are 4 other file types with the "XPX" extension name:"

"Mime: application/vnd.intercon.formnet"
"XML Format File"
"RAFTS-XP Macro File"
"Dungeons & Dragons Core Rules 2 with Expansion"

If you haven't already check to see if there are any updates for your PDF reader. If that doesn't work try uninstalling then reinstalling the PDF reader. I'm thinking the OS upgrade may have replaced a shared code module with one the PDF reader isn't compatible with. The PDF reader's installation program or the updater may know how how to correct the problem.
