Honestly, you don't really have a chance.
The whole point of the Private functionality of IE8 is to keep the surfing history anonymous.

i ask because i've been on this site for a long time and seen people who like to invade others privacy for no good reason, just to be nosey.

why aren't you using parental controls to monitor what they can get to online? or, even better, my aunt had a removable hard drive. when she didn't want anyone using the computer when she couldn't be there to monitor it, she took it out and kept it with her in her purse.

There are network appliances that will provide filtering and log internet activity I have used Deep Nine and it works great. However for the home network a software based tool woul dbe more cost effective one of the programs advertised here may be the ticket
