Foxbase II (ms-dos) syntax

I need to modify a program for a friend which is written in Foxbase II running under MS-DOS.

I need to save an alpha-numeric string to a txt file and the file is to be named after a 8 char memory variable i.e.: xxxxxxxx.txt where "xxxxxxxx" is the data stored in the memory variable.

Anyone remember the syntax to do this. I just cant seem to find my old manual anywhere !!!

Spacey
