What do you mean by fake pictures?

It's a real picture of a real person but I didn't receive it from the person who really is that person. So I have a slew of pictures, with a false pretense of being someone he is not. I just wonder if there is a way to find out who that person in the "real" picture is... he won't tell me where he stole them from, I've already asked..

Thank you for your further explanation as to what you meant by fake pictures which would have been nice if you would have included that explanation in your original question. However, there are some things that are still not clear here. For one thing, are you intimating that you have seen the person who has sent you the pictures and that the images are not of the person who has given them to you?

Are You Crazy?? Do You Think Charles Manson is going to send you his real picture...

The level of trust you place in a liar is truly light years beyond human intelligence...

You should drop this person like a Cancer that eats at your soul

How stupid can you be -- setting yourself up for more lies and deciet

Anyone can pick up a picture on the net and act like it is their picture. Happens so much I often wonder why people even bother sending pictures anymore. Or why people make a stink about receiving a picture that is not actually of the person who sent it. That is why so many people do not even accept a picture and ask to see the webcam. Hard to phony up a webcam.

So you believe this person is not honest - then quit talking to that person. If he can lie about a picture, he can lie about a lot of other things too.

Do you think there is anything illegal involved in this person's false pretense, or that it in some way could hurt the real person in the pictures? Or are you just curious?

The person who sent them is actually a self proclaimed con man so there is no communication or relationship with him, there never has been. But the person who is in the picture is an unfortunate victim of his criminal acts as well. I have nothing to do with this person since they sent the pictures. That is the only reason why I would like to find out who is actually the person in the photo. To let them know their images are being used by a con artist to commit fraud. But I guess its not my problem. And to answer Biggsie,no, I'm not crazy or stupid. Or ill mannered.

Instead of trying to find out who the person in the photos is, why not call the authorities. Not sure who that would be. If it were me, I'd just call the local police and ask them what to do about it -- if nothing else they'd be able to tell me who better to call. I really don't know how serious this is, and maybe the guy is even conning you. Obviously I can't say since I don't know anything about it. So just a thought.

How do you the person in the picture is a victim of this self proclaimed con man? Did he tell you that? I'd drop the issue. This guy probably has a thousand pictures at his disposal. Anyone can - one of the downsides of the internet, if used for ill means.

Www.Tineye.com will give you the answer if it is a publicity photo etc they have access to millions of photos on the web and if the pic is used anywhere on the web or slightly altered and is for public view on the web or sites on it it will match and you can compare and see the sites it is featured on.

I hope that it helps. Sure did help me

    Cheers

I found out how you can check on a picture. I recently did this and found out a couple of the guys I was talking to were using someone else's pictures with a different name than the person in the picture. Go to Google and click on images. Then click on the pic of a camera and upload the pic and it will look for the pic online.
