classicboxset cowboys

I odered from this company at the end of Nov and my order arrived yesterday. Apart from the long delivery time, the item was wrapped in brown paper only which meant it arrived battered as it had come from China! the item was a suitcase holding DVDs (not the item I ordered! - the handle was completely broken on one side, the box had scratches all over it and was dusty!! Inside the box, the DVDs were just enclosed in plastic wrappers and not in the proper box they are supposed to be in. These wrappers were also ripped!

As this was supposed to be a xmas present I couldn't wait another month for a replacement to arrive so I ordered it from Amazon and requested a refund from classicboxset. They refuse to give me a refund and will send me another DVD set, requesting I send them the damaged set back at my expense. This has turned out to be the most expensive DVD set I have ever purchased! They have also threatened that if I don't send them the DVDs immediately they will charge me for 2 sets! The cheek! I've waited over a bloody month for the order to arrive from them!

My next step is to try Paypal but I'm not holding my breath.

DON'T ORDER FROM THESE COWBOYS!

Has anyone else had similar problems with this company?

I ran into a similar problem when I ordered the DVD of the "Seven Samauri" - what I got was some cheap Chinese marital arts DVD. I sent it back, notified Amazon.com and never heard anything back from either. I wrote twice after that and then Amazon said they could not find my order, it was like it never happened.

Now I had used Amazon.com before with success but after that episode, I am definitely more careful as to country of origin.

So you ordered from them not to long ago and now can't get in contact? WOW!

Do you have some sort of receipt or confirmation number that you can use when you try to sue them? HAHA!

Well if their website is no longer available how are you going to get in contact with them? A number?

I very stupidly placed an order with this company before looking at this website. I know that my order isn't going to turn up and I've put a claim in with Paypal. The classicboxset website doesn't even exist anymore! What a total waste of money

It just goes to show, if it looks too good to be true, then it is. Run in the opposite direction. I do believe in another saying though - what goes around, comes around. They'll get caught one day
