aol9.1&IE7.0 error 404 and will not D/L my program from the web!

Hi, as you can see, I need "HELP" ! .

Ok. I have a gateway 850 w/1500GB and 256MB of RAM. My system is windows xp Pro. W/SP3 installed. My modem is a ZOOM V.92/V.90 faxmodem.

My Question is, What do I need to do, So I can be able to download from the web.

OK.

For example:
Let say if I was at the web page "http://www.download/cnet.com/". and I found a software that I would Iike to download.

So I click on download butten. For it to download the software or program,
and then it opens up a new web page,
and at the top of the page. It reads "Error 404".

So tell me. what Im I doing or not not doing. For it to give me this Error.

So what do i need to do, So I can be able to download a program from the web.
This happen each time I download a file.

I not sure if I change something in my settings or not

So if you can help me. Please Do . . . Thanks!. { ;-(

ps: I about to trash this computer, In to the "TRASH CAN!" ! ! !
