Adelphia.net is my home page and won't load
Came home and tried to log onto the internet today and adelphia.net won't load the page.
I can go into my favorites and get to other places but I need the adelphia page to check my mail. I am on a cable modem with a router connecting my 2 computers together. I have done the shutdown -disconnect -reconnect -and start up again thing with no luck.
Same thing with my other computer. No home page. Anyone else have this problem or know what to do to fix it. I have called adelphia and just get the message that they are sorry but can not answer my call at this time, please call back later.

Adelphia has had server problems for almost 4 weeks now.
It started with what they say was schedualed maintinance from midnight to 9 a.m. about three and a half weeks ago and then it would go out for about 20 min. at about 10:30 a.m. every day for about 4 days then the outages got longer and more frequent.
Until after about 7 days it just went out all together for most areas. I was informed by a helpful service tech sent to our area that they continue to deny any server issues so they wouldn't have to put out a load in billing reductions due to no or poor service.
As I understand it the problem span from no internet to Adelphia CSRs not being able to access any of their systems to Online Live Support not working to digital cable services not working.
Sounds like a slow meltdown!

Thanks for the input. It seems to be fine now. I think it has to do with Time Warner buying out Adelphia. Changing over.

Yea, it seems many of the issues they have been having are starting to clear up as of yesterday.
I will give you and any other Adelphia customers that read this. Because they know that many people are talking with each other about this problem that have decided to not admit to many internet service issues and are offering a 1 to 4 week prorate discount for those that call in and let them know that they have had problems recently that may have to do woth server glitched and changeover problems.

Folks may want to call them and let them know wbout the type and duration of their problems to get this discount. They told me they would do this more often, but too many sudtomers just take the problems and never say anything about it. So they don't see a big problem. They said if everyone would get into the habit of taking a moment to call and complain they would have to face the issue and fix it faster and refund the customers thus spawning better customer treatment and better system stability. There should be no more deny the issue to avoid responability and refunds. This came straingt from a CSR supervisor.
They actually want as many of us as they can get to call in any time we have a problem because this makes them aware of the issues.

    I like this new attitude!

    Hurah for the changeover!

That's great, you think they might answer next time I call. I kept getting the press this# and press that #then the message,"We're sorry , we are unable to take your call at this time, please call again later". Click.
When it was Adelphia, they were there 24/7 and very helpful. Now it's Time Warner and the changes they are a coming. I have already noticed an increase in my bill and everyone who is adelphia.net is going to be changed to rr.net. I pay a good amount to them each month for cable TV and high speed internet and I just want them to be there when I have a problem with their service.

Sorry to hear about the increase in your billing and inability to get through. That sucks.
We haven't seent the "complete" changeover yet so I haven't seen any change in billing yet, but it is already high enough... well too high actually.
$120 a month for DVR and Baisc/Digital Channels and Stars/Encore Pack and 4000down/384up internet!
In my area Comcast is apparently taking over instead of Time Warner.
I hope if anything they realise that we have been billed too much for too poor and too few services for too long and decide to lower the billing to a realistic rate, but that is probably a big pipe dream.

None the less I agree with what that CSR supervisor told me. If people would take a moment to complain they would have to face problems and give credits and if enough people voiced out about billing they would bring prices down, but as long as most people just pay what they are told to pay with little more than grumbling to themselves about things they don't like corporations are going to feel as though they can charge what ever they like.

Well I am heading toward a rant here so I'll leave it at that. Heh.

    Good luck though.
