Company
Infinology Corporation, Albert

Phone Number:

Three Names Same Company- THEOUS, SOPHEA, INFINOLOGY

I was wanting a Logo designed for my new start up. So I searched on google and came across the top 10 logo designers at themostpopularbrands.com/
reviews/logo_designers/index.htm?site=google&engine=adwords!2656&keyword= logo+design&match_type

This is were I was taken
theous.com/logo_designers/index.php

The site sounded and looked ok. I needed a logo quick and this company looked like they could help me at a reasonable rate. The site quality wasn't as good as many of the other companies I looked at, but I went against my better judgement because of their promotion. I couldn't believe I was getting $545.00 package for $165.00.

I paid my $165.00 for this package. After I paid I received their order e-mail confirmation, that didn't have a reference/ order # on it. It states the following “Infinology Corp. will appear on your credit card statement as they are the company which handles the credit card processing for Theous Corporation. If you have any questions with this order please call 863-223-2296.”

, shows my billing info. I didn't think much of it so I went about my business until I received a second e-mail from this company of many names. It stated Thank you for ordering our LogoDesign service. Please download the attached microsoft word document and answer the questions accordingly. We need you to answers these questions before we can start Designing your Logo. If you have any quesitons please email the question to: [email address].

The document was very basic and asked very general questions concerning my company. Again I thought nothing of this. Everything seems to be moving right along. A week goes by and I haven't heard a thing from them. So I call and they say that they have my file and should start on it soon. They stated that there was a lot of business coming in from their special promotion and I should be patient.

I wait a few more days and still no word from this company. I start getting suspicious and do a search on this company. OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH I should have gone with my gut feeling on this. I was scammed and I knew it. There isn't a lot out on the search but what is out there isn't good concerning this company.

I called the company again and the person I spoke with stated he could find any info on my order. He asked if I was sure I placed an order.

I'm ticked off now and do a search again and find a site called Rip Off Report.com on this site I find a fellow consumer “ Gurvir” that has been jacked around. I e-mailed him and he stated he was talking to a manager by the name of Albert. So I called the # he gave me and spoke with Albert. Albert told me he also couldn't find any record of my purchase. I told him my card was charged by his company. His reply was to have me e-mail him with a reason as to why I want a refund. I sent the e-mail and waited. Nothing. I contacted Gurvir again and he said he has got Theous to refund our money but he has to retract his posting on Rip off Report. I call Theous again and speak to Albert. Albert says he will not refund my money until this other customer retracts his statement. I didn't write the complaint nor do I know your other customer. PLEASE refund my money. Albert again states all I have to do is E-mail him a reason why I'm requesting a refund and they will give my money back. I send him 6 more e-mails stating why I want a refund. I have not received a refund or a phone nor an e-mail from this company.

BEWARE !!! Don't use their services you will be ripped off
ANYONE ALREADY RIPPED OFF BY THEM CONTACT ME
my email is [email address] I am collecting their order receipts to send it to FBI to file report and have investigation done on this company.

Oh my goodness! I read everyone's comments and decided I wanted to check it out for myself. This company actually offers to design websites?!? Look at theirs! It looks like something a third grader would put together, with different size and color fonts all over the page. They also offer their website designs for $45-$145? A friend of mine designs websites on the side, almost as a hobby, and has sold them for $500+! Also, about the "representative" from the company having a yahoo email, the company offers email utilities. Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't you think if they offer this they would use it? Then I checked out the Better Business Bureau rating and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe a company would do this and that BBB hasn't sued their pants off!
I'm sorry for everyone who got caught in this scam. Keep pushing to get something done about these criminals so no one else falls into their trap.

One thing's for sure. At least it's likely that they're not suckering in many new customers at this point.

Look what happens if a potential customer decides to google them: "Theous Corporation"

Wow! Apparently they are not only false advertising, but they are going one step further.

Click on the BBB image on this page and look where it lands you. If you hack the url you'll see that they've copied the BBB rating page and replaced the "F" image with an "A".

Yes, Scammers big time!!

Holy crap, they copied the BBB page, changed the rating and hosted it on some web server. That's brazen and oh so fraudulent. Nice catch Rick. More ammunition for this case.

Edit: oops, missed Curly's earlier post.

yeah, that is SO brazen. Even more than that its very dumb. Like that's not going to be spotted by Internet aware people. I see red flags whenever a URL uses an IP rather than a Domain name.

I susoect the only reason it hasn't been taken down os so it can be used the jail the principals.

I added this info to the BBB conversation and got this reply:

Thanks again for letting us know they are still using the false report.
For those of you who have complained to ic3.gov, I strongly suggest that you add this information.

Not to throw a monkey wrench into this, but something doesn't make sense here. The BBB is a reasonably large and powerful organization. Now I imagine that the scenario goes something like this:

1) BBB is made aware of the spoofed site.
2) BBB sends a cease and desist letter ordering that the site be taken down immediately
3) Next step is for BBB to obtain an injunction ordering the site taken down
4) BBB serves the injunction on the ISP issuing the IP address of the server
5) ISP then cuts off the IP.

Now the only thing missing here is the timeline. Without knowing when the BBB was first informed of the spoofed site, I can't say for sure that this scenario has been played out. However, I wonder why the BBB is hesitating. IMHO the spoofed site should have been shut done within 2 weeks of the BBB being notified about it. The cease and desist letter should have taken nor more than 2 days to deliver. One day to write it and one to send it via overnite mail. I would give no more that 3 business days for Theous to take down the site. On the 4th day, I would have obtained the injunction. On the 5th day it would have been served on the ISP. By the 6th day the site would have been shut down. Add the 2 days to write and deliver the cease and desist we have 8 business days. So I'm wondering why the site is still up?

Me too. I'd presume the BBB has hungry attorneys eager to dive into such fraudulent activity as we see with Theous. Indeed it's a mystery.
