Want to import bags from India

Hi,
I am just thinking to start an importing business in UK. I want to import all type of ladies bags including leather bags and other ladies accessories to UK.Please advise me about the legal terms which need to be fulfilled before starting my trading. I mean is there any need of getting any type of licence etc ? Please advise as I am very new in business.

As far as I'm in business, i do think there is a need to have a licenc from chamber of commerce of UK, pleace where the GOODS is imported, this is the way I import to my country Kosovo, cause I'm not in UK, i can just asume that this is the way it should be!
