Moving to US with electronic goods

Hi,

I'm moving under an A2 (diplomatic) visa to the US for a few years.
I'd like to take my sound receiver with me (electronic device, about 19.5 lbs).

It has been in my possession for about 2.5 years.
I was wondering what was the customs procedure involved? Do I need to pay some kind of fee for it?
I've searched the US Customs site, it's anything but helpful.

And also, am I able to take with me some larger devices, like large sound speakers?

Thanks so much,
awaiting your reply!
