wood floor scratch repair

I have oak hardwoods, sealed. I moved a piece of furniture and left behind on the floor two three inch deep scratchs. How can I fix this or do I need to call in a floor guy.

Ouch......I hate it when that happens. They do sell a filler you can use. It is available at most flooring stores or even some box shops. (menards,lowes,ect..) It does a fairly good job. You will see it and know its there, however your company would more than likely never see it. There is a way to "pull" the scratches out if they are not to deep. It requires the use of moisture and an iron. If you need to go this route I would call a flooring company who specializes in flooring repairs. Trying to do it your self can be dangerous. There is a fine line between the right amount of heat and to much. If you are not careful you can "burn" the wood, discoloring it which creates problem #2.
