I wold like to lay a few feature tiles on top of wall tiles just laid. Possible?
I have just had a kitchen renovation completed and am not happy with the tiles surrounding my stove top. I would like to 'improve' it by adding a few feature tiles on the top. It looks great, but I am not sure if tile can be laid on tile.

Are you looking for some kind of 3d mosaic? Or are you covering completely 1 tile with another?

I am liking the look of the texture of lying tiles in a diamond shape over the intersection. Do I make sense?

If u want to install accent tile, u have to remove existing tile in that area. Install new tile in diamond shape and fill in voids with original tile.
