Window Coverings for Double French Doors

Does anybody have any good suggestions for window coverings over a french door window? During the summer, the sun is pounding through those doors. At other times, I would like to be able to catch the view through the doors.

I initially considered blinds, but where does the cord go when the blinds are pulled up? Thanks.

Hi Homeskillet:

They install cord cleats to wrap the cord around after raising the blinds. See pics. below. These cleats are installed between 4 to 8 inches or so apart from each other..then cord wrapped between them (especially at french doors)...Anyway, just a thought. Good luck.
