what to do about 1" gaps around dishwasher

Hi All,

I just purchased a new dishwasher and had it installed. It is a standard sized dishwasher but there are 1" gaps between the dishwasher and the cabinets. Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to fix this? It just doesn't look good. Can you use molding or something?

Thanks!

How old are the cabinets?

Can you get trim the same color as they are?If so,it's not too hard to predrill and install a fillerstrip next to the dishwasher.

Let us know,

Ken

Is the counter top fit tighter than the 1" gaps left by the cabnits?
if so you just need to get a filler strip 3x4 x3x4 or go 3x4 x 1" if its not to tight, you want a little gap just so if you need to pull it out again you can.

dont know what kind of wood the cabnit is buy lowes or home depot will have something you can use to furr out the side of the cabnits
