What color paint? Tiny living room, low light, beige carpet, med brown couch
I live in an apt. and cannot go dark.. it has to be really light.. it is kind of an open area with the kitchen on the other side which is linen white. Should I do the whole thing linen white? A lot of people say green and I have tried a few sages but ehh.. not loving it. I have tried a light tan and light beige.. they are OK.. The carpet I am stuck with and is beige but I plan on putting an area rug down, curtains and toss pillows all as accent colors.. not sure yet what colors, also I am not a yellow person so that is out and blue is cold.. the couch is a weird medium brown microsuede.. help me decorate please!! I am clueless. IF you have names of paints and any ideas of accent colors I would appreciate it!

If you do end up with white then you can go with an off white like a eggshell. Its white with amber in it so it's a darker color but light enough to fill the room. Andother thing might be to add wallpaper to one or more walls. It might add a flair to the room and still blend in without darkening.

First, find an area rug you adore--maybe a rya rug or something with major color blocks or stripes in it. Then work off one of the colors for the walls -- a pale version of it -- and find toss pillows and other accessories in the rug colors. Then, invite me over!

Id say go with white and continue it through but then do one contrast wall to make the room pop. It will draw attention so make it on a nice feature wall and add something to make it some together a decoration like a wall fan or painting with the colours brown beige and the accent wall colour. With dim lighting a white wall will look yellowy anyway so I say maybe a gold wall sandy not do yellow or brown. My living room is lilic and its very calming and since its not to far from white its not over the top. I have silver accents that go nicely with it but brown doesn't look bad on lilic because its so soft

You can also do a little more work and make your room seem taller by doing the same colour in flat and shine in vertical lines or one colour and then the next colour on the scale up so its barly visible. And if you look online they have lots of tips for making rooms look bigger and brighter

Our living room is 12x15, so to raise the eye, we put a wallpaper border with complementary colors vertically up to the ceiling on each side where that long blank wall met the two shorter adjoining walls. (The other side of the long blank wall is open to the dining room.) Now we have to keep the ceiling corners' cobwebs cleaned up.
