Hide a Big Miirror

I'm going to rent a beautiful apto, but it has a big floor to ceiling mirror in the living room, I can not take it down, because it's a rental, so I need ideas to hide it!! Thanks

Why do you need to hide it?

A large mirror helps with lighting and the appearance of size in a smaller apartment.

It would help to know why you want to before giving suggestions. Also--where is it located in the room? is it someplace you can put furniture in front of?

What about those clingy picture things that teachers put on windows? I googled "static vinyl cling mirror" and got this (among others):

Holiday Window Static Cling Decorations and Static Cling Vinyl Signs and Letter Kits

The birds/flowers/butterflies might work? There are cityscapes and forest scenes and puppy/kitten ones on other sites.

You could hang a Tapestry over it if you don't like it.

how about buy a 4 x 8 x 1/4" mdf, some self-adhesive velcro, cut your peice of mdf to a bit bigger than the mirror, prime and paint it, then stick it on. make sure to prime the back as well or it will warp.
