Ceramic Tiles and Stairs

What is the best way to finish off a ceramic tile floor that includes steps? I know I can use bull nose pieces but I think they are kind of slippery. Is there any other material that can be used on the edge of each step that would look nice on the ceramic tiles? And if there is, how do you put it on without breaking the tiles under it?

Thanks,

johndaniel1

they also make tile with a more gritty surface, you dont want high gloss tile there, although it does look good.
if you dont want that you can get lol. remember those stickers you can put in the bathtub/shower. so ya dont slip, you can do that to,

or you may have some bath mats that are small enough to just lay down on the steps

I think the more gritty style bull nose pieces would work better. I don't think the bath mat stickers would be the look I was going for my upgrading kitchen project!!! But i liked your first suggestion.

Thanks again.
