what is the easiest way to remove wall tiles without damaging the walls

Are you working with old ceramic, vinyl or plastic?? There will be some wall damage in any case. The adhesive that currently holds the tile has a gripe on the wall surface, drywall or plaster. That bond will not just pop for you, it is going to require scraping and chiseling.
