Removing member of truss in attic

I have a 49' truss system in my attic. In one area I would like to remove a cross member of the truss. This member runs diagonally and next to it is one of three verticle truss members. Does anyone know if this would create serious problems? There are several other supports on each 49' beam, including the center and two other verticle truss members. Thank you!
