Caulking a New Tub Surround

I just finished installing a 5-piece tub surround kit. I applied a 1/4" bead of adhesive around the edges of the corner panels before attaching it to the two side panels. However, after drying, there is still a small gap between the corner panel edge and the side panels.

The attached picture shows the corner panel wth the tape I used to try to hold the panels together, as per the manufacturer's instructions. There's still a small gap where the panels meet.

Should I try to squirt some more adhesive into the seam or just caulk it from the outside and be done with it?
