Porcelain vs Ceramics tiles

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows how to distinguish a ceramic tile from a porcelain one. Cheers

the thickness way be on way, ceramic tiles are usually thinner, from 1/4 to 3/8 and porceilain are 1/2 or so. you also should be able to tell just from the finish being a more natural look,

if your question is if you install the cheaper ceramic will you notice or will the floor not look as good........they make alot of really nice looking ceramic tile that looks great,
the majority of the floors we do are ceramic, only 3 out of 10 will use porcelain,

porcelain is more durable in my opionion
