| You need to have the floor taken apart and the exact same wood put in to replace the bad section. If it was a snap-in job, or nailed, you may will have the best luck, but if it was glued it will most likely show a bump where new meets old. Sometimes you can use the flooring under the refrigerator to make a perfect match. You must have a real craftsman do this kind of repair.
I know people like laminated floors in kitchens, but this is what happens if the frig leaks, sink overflows, there are spills, diswasher leaks, etc. If I were you, I would take my losses now, and go for a good vinyl or ceramic tile floor - Even if you get it fixed, it can happen again.
