Re Spa / water sealer

my plumber fitted my fiber corner spa w water jets, but said that the walls surrounding the spa do not require any sealer. these walls are plastered brick walls. i asked him regarding the condense water... he looked ratehr unknowing.

as I do the tiling i have to errect a wall to the diagonal side of the spa. what about a sealer there.


re Wall tiling

again plastered brick. do i need to apply a special material before tiling? my problem that I see is that even though that the tile adhasive is very strong it's just on a very weak plaster that normally falls off as soon as you hit it with a marble, for example.

how high do i have to seal this area.
