| The only problem I would see with groutless tile on a counter top is whatever would escape between and how would you clean it out ? Yes, I have heard this too, but I dont think it is perfected yet; you cant do it with ceramic tiles you buy for a grout installation, or granite for that matter. I have heard of the 'butt' method but then again you get back to the problem of cleaning food debris out, etc.
If you want granite counter tops, why not whole piece installation ?
This is only my own opinion, and you may hear from some of our experts here, I just couldnt help puting my two cents in because I have run into application questions like yours. Some people have a lot against grout put it is manageable as long as it is done properly and sealed properly.
