grout over grout

Is is possible for me to put a thin layer of grout over grout? The original grout was put down about 2 months ago. It is sanded grout on the kitchen floor. I have extra grout that was used originally. The reason I want to put more grout over it is because it has a few small cracks and it is uneven in places.. I am going to seal after I put new grout in..What do you think is the best way to seal?
