Floor Tile, Concrete floor is sealed.

I want to replace carpet with tile on concrete floor but concrete is sealed with some coating.
Do I have to prime this or remove sealant?

The sealant needs to be removed or rough up the concrete so the thinset will bond to the concrete
Rough it up with a buffer or floor sander- hope this helps
