Oh dear. That's a bit like saying 'how much will I pay for a car that has four wheels and 5 seats?'

What state is it in now? Any problems you need to fix? Any bathrooms included? What kind of finishings do you want? Bar area/ mini-kitchen? Entertainment centre? Structural changes required? Are you going to do anything yourself?

Hello thanks for the reply. I am in Delaware. My house is only 3 months old, newly built. It has survived all the ran that we have had lately...so no leaks. It does not have a bathroom in it. The basement was already poured when I choose the house, so it was to late for me to add one. I am open to any suggestions or pictures. The basement is hugh, so I have lots of options. I just want my finished product to be Sweet! Not even sure if I should leave it open or close it in. It's my son and I, and he's pre-teen.

Is it possible to sketch out a floor plan. In particular, you need to note locations of the furnace, washer/dryer and plumbing. You should see a 4" vertical pipe black plastic pipe coming down from the ceiling and dissappearing in the floor - where is that? Any capped water supply pipes anywhere or capped plumbing pipes in the floor? (They might have already prepared for a future bathroom)

What specifically do you want from this space? bedrooms? exercise area? TV room/ entertainment area? storage?

Unless you have a specific need for the space in the basement, its always cheapest to leave it alone until you decide what you really want. (and you may find your needs change as your child grows). There's nothing wrong with an unfinished basement of the rest if the house is big enough.
