Cracks between ceiling corner
In my bedrooms there are cracks in the corners between the ceiling and the wall and between the wall and the door molding. Can this just be painted or does it have to be repaired? If repaired, how?

I think you'll do best if you repair it. A competent drywaller can fix it. Unfortunately, you have a textured ceiling that will require re-texturing. If it were a smooth ceiling and wall, the taping (drywall tape) would be simpler.

You could use caulking to fix. Or if it gets a proper fix check to make sure the popcorn ceiling does not have asbestoes because it will have to be scraped back about 6 inches.

Just put some painter's caulk in the crack and smooth with a wet finger. Let it dry and paint.

Those are from when the popcorn was sprayed on they take a broad knife and scrape the excess popcorn off the wall,it will tend to make it easyer for a hairline crack there if you use caulk it will not look that good with the corner being rounded try to paint it a few times to fill the cracks with paint

Caulking before painting would be the right way to do this. Paint is not a crack filler, and it would probably keep cracking out again if you only paint it.

Not if it's done properly.

Hi-
I have a finished ceiling - it's drywall - that has two straight hairline cracks in it. The cracks begin at the corners of walls and are nearly completely straight. One is about 10' long - the other is the width of the hallway - about three feet long.
Again, they both start at the...

Hot tub superficial cracks

My husband and I recently bought a home with a hot tub. It seems to work OK, but someone has painted a whitish film onto about a third of the tub. We noticed that this section seems to have tiny superficial cracks in it. I'm guessing it was exposed to too much sunlight. The whitish stuff is...
