I am a single mother with no working knowledge of how a project is done and the expected time of completion. I am worried about being taken advantage of since I know nothing of my project. I am adding a bathroom to a basement. The bathroom wall backs up to all the plumbing into the home. My real questions are:
1. An approximate cost of adding a toilet, sink, and shower
2. Approximately how long should this project take
3. What are typical problems that could arise.

I know these are questions you may not be able to answer, but possibly you could set some quidelines that I could follow, and things to be aware of.

Its practically impossible to answer your questions because there's too many factors involved but if I were you, I would get a few of plumpers to come round to get a free quotes then ask them questions e.g. what jobs will need to be done, time scale of the job etc... That should give you a few ideas what will happen.
