Determining location of pump on Jacuzzi Tub

I'm planning to order a Jacuzzi Whirlpool tub and I need to know how to determine which end the pump is to be located. The options are usually right pump, left drain or left pump, right drain! Where do you stand in reference to the tub to get this location? It's about as clear as mud to me! Thanks for any information.

It all depends on your access from the walls. The pump must be acessible so most folks place it at the end by a closet so they can make a trap door. The drain can always be changed underneath. If you have not installated one before keep coming here for more advice or hire a pro to do at least the rough in.
