So you turn it into your insurance and they pay for the damge to the other car

I'm a retired auto claims adjuster. Get car lic# & name of driver of moving car. Get a hold of his ins. Co. If no ins. Co., make him pay or sue. If you go through your own ins. Co, you will pay a collision deductable, as any time at least one car is in motion, it is a "collision" claim (in this case). If damage is miner or he won't pay, bit the bullet & pay the damage yourself. If damage is exccesive, go through your co., pay the deductable, then later, watch the ins. Co. Raise your rates.
