How can I find a doctor that accepts no fault insurance

I was involved in a car accident and went to the hospital. I was told to see a doctor in a few days for a follow up. But I can't find a doctor who will accept NY's no fault insurance. I live in Suffolk County. Thanks for any information you can give me

Many may require you to pay and/or be responsible and be repaid by the insurnace. Short of calling and calling, that may be the only option if your insurnace agent does not have a list

Have a free consult with a personal injury attorney first. He will generally have a list of doctors that will work with you, him, and your case. Don't just hire the first guy out of the box though. Depends on how injured you are of course.

George_1950 agrees: Good answer. When it's you against the world, call a lawyer.

I've always considered this a flaw in the system. If you do go to a Doctor who does not accept no-fault you can bill no-fault yourself but, of course, you are out of pocket until you are reimbursed.

Your no-fault carrier may have a list (some companies do) or your local medical association have a list.

If your injuries rise to the level of a personal injury lawsuit, consult with an Attorney.
